Class : The Academia Striped Crew Sweater

Join us at the Shop for this Intermediate 6-Week Knitting Workshop! This course is perfect for knitters looking to take their skills to the next level and create a custom fit Striped Crew Neck Sweater. Designed exclusively for our shop, this sweater is a fun way to utilize the skills you already know in new and exciting ways
*6 weeks / 2hrs each class*

If you’ve survived our beginner course, we encourage you to level up and learn some amazing new tricks!
(Basic knitting skills are required. Experience knitting in the round is helpful, but not necessary.)

Skills you will learn and use in this course:
*Double Knitting
*Cast on methods
*German short rows
*Magic loop
*Increases/Decreases in the Round
*Picking Up Stitches
*Color Change

Week 1: Introduction to the sweater construction, taking measurements and customizing the fit. Learn the cast on methods, and begin to create the neckline
Week 2: Begin working into the body. Best practices for knitting flat vs. in the round
Week 3: Learning increases and armhole shaping
Week 4: Connect the panels and beginning your sleeves
Week 5: Mastering the sleeve construction and joining to the body
Week 6: Adding finishing touches, final fitting, and blocking.
