Casey learned to knit ages ago, and then got distracted by half a dozen other crafts.  (Rumor has it that she in fact majored in Crafts at the now defunct University of the Arts.)  A couple of years ago, her fiber arts hobbies sprang out of dormancy, and she returned to knitting, which quickly turned into learning to spin yarn on both a drop spindle and a wheel, and dyeing her own fiber.  Casey teaches drop spindle spinning at South Philly Yarn and Craft and would love to see what you're spinning and talk fiber with you.
