Join us in the shop for this Intermediate Crochet project: Fawning Over You Sweater by Briana K Designs! Using the cozy Cascade 220 Superwash yarn, we will focus on stranded colorwork with top-down construction, while working in the round and mixing stitch-use. During this multi-week class you’ll build the skills and confidence to craft a wardrobe-worthy garment you'll love showing off.

Duration: 6 Sessions over 7 Weeks (Includes a 1-week mid-class break so you have plenty of time to work on the body!) / 2 Hours per class

Class Size: Limited to 6 students for dedicated, step-by-step guidance

Skill Level: Intermediate Crocheter: You should be comfortable with basic crochet stitches, counting stitches, and working in the round.
What You’ll Learn

The Split Single Crochet Stitch

Stranded Colorwork in Crochet (chart reading, managing yarn floats, and tension control)

Working in the Round & Yoke Increases for a perfectly shaped circular yoke
-
Splitting for Sleeves & Body and working underarm chains

Finishing Techniques including weaving in ends, and blocking
Weekly Breakdown

Week 1 - Swatching & Collar Setup: Select your color combination, check gauge, review pattern, learn the split single crochet stitch, and start your collar

Week 2 - Yoke & Stranded Colorwork: Learn to read colorwork charts, manage multiple strands of yarn, and execute yoke increases.

Week 3 - Finishing Yoke & Separate the body: This pattern requires blocking the yoke before finishing the rest of the body.

Catch-Up Break Week! Take this extra time at home to stitch away on the body of your sweater at your own pace.

Week 4 - Lower Hem & Pattern Motifs: Resume class to work the lower body colorwork pattern and finish off the bottom ribbing.

Week 5 - Sleeves & Cuffs: Pick up stitches for the sleeves, work sleeve decreases, and work the colorwork sleeve cuffs.

Week 6 - Finishing & Blocking!: Weave in ends cleanly and block your sweater so the colorwork lays flat and smooth!
