Hades, Lord of the Underworld. Upon the division of the worlds, Zeus received the Skies, Poseidon, the Seas, and Hades was given dominion over everything under the earth. While often feared by the Greeks, thought of as the bringer of death, Hades is not the God of Death, that title belongs to Thanatos. Hades merely presides over the Underworld, insuring those who are dead, stay dead, or in Orpheus's case, providing rules to return lost ones to life.
